UV Directory documentation

Overview

UV Directory gives employees a live, searchable view of the organization — people, departments and reporting lines — using Microsoft Graph and Entra ID. It is designed for SharePoint intranets that need a directory people will actually open.

Requirements

  • SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365)
  • Tenant app catalog
  • SPFx 1.18+
  • Node 18 LTS / 22 LTS for custom builds

Installation

Upload the signed package from your UV Apps account. Do not use unauthenticated blob URLs. After deploy, grant only the Graph permissions listed on the product page.

Licensing

The app stays locked until a product key is activated for this tenant. The activating mailbox must be on a verified domain of the Microsoft 365 tenant. See the licensing guide.

Microsoft Graph

  • User.Read.All (Delegated) — Read user profiles for the directory and org chart.
  • User.ReadBasic.All (Delegated) — Display names, photos and job titles.
  • Group.Read.All (Delegated) — Optional department and group membership context.
